Tree of Life

Description

Gnarled windswept tree clings to eroded coastal cliff above a rocky pebble beach with weathered driftwood. This is the Tree of Life in Washington state. It's famous for its perseverance over the last several decades of surviving in seemingly insurmountable conditions. This tree sits still, barely hanging on, near Kalaloch Beach along the WA coast off of Highway 101. This photo was taken in February 2020.
